How To Solve The Heat Dissipation Problem Of New Energy Led Street Lamp

The problem of heat dissipation of street lamps is of great urgency. Only by solving this problem can the performance of LED street lamps be brought into full play. Heat dissipation is not only directly related to the luminous efficiency of LED street lamp in actual work, but also because of the high brightness requirement and high calorific value of the new energy LED street lamp and its use in harsh outdoor environment, if the heat dissipation is not good, it will directly lead to the rapid aging of the LED. In the design of new energy LED street lamp, the power LED itself needs better heat dissipation, but the road lamp should be used outdoors. There is a necessary level of dust and waterproof effect (IP), and good IP protection often hinders the heat dissipation of LED.


Solving these two contradictory but necessary problems is an important aspect of road lighting design. At present, the material used in the new energy LED street lamp radiator is basically metal material, which is mainly due to the following three considerations: 1. Good thermal conductivity. Compared with other solid materials, metal has better heat conductivity; 2. Easy to process. Metals have good ductility, relatively stable high temperature, and can be processed by various processes; 3. Easy to obtain, and relatively low price. Another important point is to use the integrated aluminum die-casting heat dissipation shell. The new energy LED street lamp usually uses the shell and radiator design as a whole to solve the problem of LED heating. Aluminum or aluminium alloy, copper or copper alloy and other alloys with good thermal conductivity are generally selected.
